Dr. Dalia Meisha is an associate professor and consultant with a dual specialty in dental public health and orthodontics at King Abdulaziz University Faculty of Dentistry (KAUFD). Currently, she is the director of the outcome assessment division at KAUFD. Dr. Meisha was the first director and founder of the outcome assessment unit at KAU Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation. In this role, she excelled in building the culture as well as policies and procedures of quality assurance in dental education. Dr. Meisha demonstrated leadership and vital roles during the school’s journey with the American Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and NCAAA national accreditation bodies. She is also a site-visit accreditor with NCAAA.
Dr. Dalia had international experience as a faculty and research statistician at VCOM medical school in Virginia state, USA, as well as clinical experience in private practice as an orthodontist in the same state for 3 Years. Dr. Meisha completed her postgraduate studies at Boston University, where she obtained a Master of Public Health, a clinical residency in orthodontics, and a doctorate in dental public health. She also has a certificate in Teaching and learning in Higher Education from Virginia Tech, USA. In addition, she is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health and the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Meisha serves on the editorial board of the Saudi Dental Journal, the Scientific Advisory Board of JDR Clinical & Translational Research (IADR official journal) and is a peer reviewer for Journal of Dental Education, AJODO, and others. She was recently appointed Chair of the IADR Constitution Committee, member of the IADR Gies Award Committee, and member of the IADR-Saudi division committee.
