Special Issue of EJDE: Artificial Intelligence in Dental Education

A special online issue of the European Journal of Dental Education has been launched on the EDJE webpages. Curated by Guest Editor Dr Argyro Kavadella, European University Cyprus, this online issue will bring together Editorial, Commentary and Original research articles focusing on AI in oral health professionals' education settings. Work is ongoing on the special issue, however a number of pieces are currently available open access at the following link.

 

Launch of ADEE 3D Print community forum

ADEE is pleased to announce the launch of a forum dedicated to the exchange of 3D printing files and a supporting discussion forum. Facilitated by the ADEE Special Interest Group Lead, Edward Williams from Cardiff University. The aim of the forum will is to become a key resource to those involved in the teaching of 3D printing in the oral health professional arena.

Help us celebrate ADEE's 50th Anniversary

As ADEE celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2025, we invite you to share your memories and photos of being part of the ADEE community. Whether it's reminiscing about past conferences, memorable collaborations, or personal milestones within dental education, each submission helps us to create an ADEE social history. This initiative not only honours the ADEE legacy but also strengthens the bonds among its members, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose. Through these collective recollections, ADEE will commemorate its journey while looking forward to continued innovation and excellence in dental education.

Reminder: The Performance Assessment of Clinical Skills

The Performance Assessment of Clinical Skills (PACS) Community of Practice are looking forward to seeing you in Leuven. As part of this interactive session, they will explore how practical assessments are working across other institutions and aim to share our learning to support each other. The Performance Assessment of Clinical Skills Community of Practice are interested in learning about your experiences with practical assessment and would really appreciate your participation in this short anonymous survey. We will use the results to guide and explore further the challenges and wins in our breakout groups at the Annual ADEE meeting in Leuven.

Reminder: FEHDD competence framework for aspiring deans and heads of dental schools

FEHDD invites contribution from members to assist in the updating of the competence framework for aspiring deans and heads of dental schools. A survey has been issued to members in recent weeks.

We encourage senior academics to respond to the survey here.
