Session synopsis:
This workshop is designed to introduce dental-dedicated MRI to its participants. It will be both a primer and workshop focusing on a basic review of MRI physics and applications curated from the existing literature, followed by review of anatomy.
The anatomical review will compare the appearance of anatomical landmarks in MRI to those seen in 2D and 3D X-ray-based imaging. The remainder of the workshop will focus on case presentations comparing intraoral, panoramic, and CBCT results to dental-dedicated MRI elucidating differences in resulting images.
