The education and training of oral health professionals have become increasingly challenging throughout Europe and beyond. The demands of the WHO Global Oral Health Strategy (2023-2030), and the expectations of several key stakeholders including national regulators, patients, students and oral health educators all need to be considered.
The benefits of this COP will be to advance individual and collective knowledge for the wider benefit of the oral health profession, ultimately resulting in the improved clinical care of patients. ADEE members of the COP will have the opportunity to share and reflect on their experiences with a view to identifying areas of good practice and new knowledge. The resulting benefits may influence thinking at institutional, national and European levels.
To explore and discuss pertinent educational issues facing European oral health educators, where perceptions and solutions can be discussed and good practice identified and shared. Aims and objective include: · To understand the importance of student feedback and how this can be effectively delivered to enhance student learning · To understand the importance of student assessment and how this can be effectively delivered to facilitate the attainment of student knowledge and competence · To recognise the growing importance of AI in oral health education and to ensure COP members are fully appraised of developments
· To recognise future technological advancements that can benefit educators to educate the future oral health workforce to deliver the highest standards of oral health care
