ADEE President Prof Brian O'Connell extends new year wishes to ADEE members
Prof Brian O'Connell, ADEE president 2024-2025 commenced his term on the 1st January and chaired his first ADEE Executive Committee meeting on 16th January. Professor O'Connell in taking over the position of President from Prof Pal Barkvoll thanked him sincerely for his leadership of ADEE during 2022 and 2023 and for his collaborative and facilitative approach.

ADEE Institutional Membership Due
ADEE member institutions' nominated contacts will have now received invoices for 2024 ADEE membership dues. These fall due for payment on 31st January 2024. To ensure your faculty can avail of the membership registration rates, access the EJDE through the adee.org web portal and participate in special interest groups and communities of practice please ensure membership fees for 2024 are renewed. Institutions who failed to pay 2023 fees have now been removed from our membership data base and faculty from these institution can no longer avail of membership benefits until payments have recommenced.

Abstracts for ADEE 2024 Leuven are now open
ADEE invites abstracts submission from faculty of member institutions for consideration for presentations at ADEE 2024 Leuven 7th to 10th September 2024. Abstracts are now being accepted in a number of presentation formats and the closing date for receipt of abstracts via the online submission portal is Monday 15th April.

The first VR-Haptic Meetup
ADEE's Secretary General recently attended and provided the closing remarks at the first International VR-Haptic Thinkers Meetup on November 28, 2023. Organised and hosted by The Institute of Dentistry at the University of Eastern Finland this event brought together over 200 global participants.

ADEE 2024 Leuven Group Booking now open
ADEE member institutions who which to avail of group booking discounts for their faculty attendance at ADEE 2024 Leuven, can now contact the office to make initial arrangements. Group booking discounts for 5 or more delegate attendees from the same institution will remain available until 31st May 2024.

ADEE's Graduating European Dentist Curriculum Domain V 'Research' now open for consultation
ADEE invites submissions from its member institutions and other interested parties to provide input and feedback on the draft Domain V 'Research'. Drafted following collaboration with EDSA, IADR and other key stakeholder groups we are now seeking input on the perceived clarity, importance, and difficulty associated with each outcome that has been arrived at.
